Baba Taher 2022

The “Baba Taher” competition was organized with the objective of promoting writing for young readers among all members of society through three distinct tracks and a range of workshops held throughout the country. Over the course of three months, the competition received an impressive number of submissions, and six winners were ultimately selected to receive prizes totalling 300,000 SR.

As a part of its ideology; “For Culture to Become a Way of Life”, the Literature, Publishing & Translation Commission launched the ‘Baba Tahir’ Children’s and Young Adult Literature Competition, named after the renowned late Saudi author: Tahir Zamakhshari.

The competition featured three categories: Stories, short novels, and comics, and attracted hundreds of talented participants of all ages.

It highlighted and embraced dozens of promising and exceptional talents, with six winning entries receiving prizes of more than 300,000 SR.

With deep passion, Next Level developed the competition’s methodology and mechanism, as well as the entries-selection and judging criteria, along with all required visual\written materials and guides.

A series of training workshops across the Kingdom were also carried out, as a part of a wide-ranged developmental, executive, and operational plan.
